Hi lovely readers
So I know a few posts ago I said how sick I am of volunteering and all I want to do is find a job, well I realised that I won’t get anywhere without volunteering because so many people I have been lucky to meet got to the “top” through volunteering or had a friend which made you volunteer with her 😛
So this weekend I volunteered to help out at Perth Runway For A Cause which was held at Coventry Square in Morley.
My day started off at 9 am and my responsibilities were first organising the designer clothing onto racks and getting them organised for the show starts. I was really lucky because one of my closest friends was the head dresser for the event so she gave me more BOH jobs than FOH.
The next few jobs were all simple ones such as finding the shoe sizes of models, which let me tell you can be a bit intimidating but once you ask the few girl or boy it gets easier and easier and most of the models are nice anyways.
As soon as the show started all the dressers were in the dressing room unzipping the next load of clothing for when the models returns as they have to go on for their second/ third look.
So thats what I did most of the day and when the show was over or we had breaks I was talking to some people I had met at previous shows or making new friends/contacts, which is always fun. So if you are one of the new designers/photographers/makeup artists that I have met and reading this, it was really nice meeting you and hope I work with you soon 🙂
here are a few of the looks and behind the scene pics that I took on the day
