Hello my lovely readers
This last weekend I volunteered at Urban Couture Swimwear Showcase which was held at the gorgeous Sorrento Beach, in Perth (for my international readers 🙂 ).
Before the event I was feeling mixed emotions… (in all honesty I am not sure I am meant to be writing how I really felt but I thats what I want my blog to be about, honesty and a few other things )Anyways my emotions were that I really could not be bothered helping out at another event, being unpaid, because I have done so much unpaid work experience and all I want to do now is work at a company that pays me, but I remembered what very well known stylist told me, which is basically you can never have too much experience, yes it may get annoying and you may feel like you don’t want to do the job but in the long run its for the best, so I obviously went and helped at the event, my other emotion was nervousness, I am not entirely sure why, I think I was just nervous because I was going to see some industry people that I have met before and was intimidated by them.
So I put both those negative feelings aside, went to the event and had a fabulous time, I didn’t do a lot of BOH stuff, but I did do some FOH stuff like setting up tables, organising the seats for the fashion show which was good because I hadn’t done that in a while so it was good to do it again. TIP: if you are ever setting up an event in Perth, wear light clothing because I was schvittzinggg ( extra letters included on purpose ) ( schvitzing means sweating)
I also met some amazing people, ( you know who you are) The ONLY regret I had that day was not going up to the beautiful Samantha Harris and saying Hi, but hopefully next time ?
Here are a few pics from the day
hope you enjoyed my post
